This was an extensive renovation of a magnificent 1890 double shotgun in the historic Bayou Saint John neighborhood. As this project was done remotely, SHD worked closed with local architect, Kelly Johnson and general contractor Dragan Segvic to adjust to all the surprises one finds when taking apart and putting back together a 125 year-old house. Wood salvaged from the walls we demolished was utilized in three ways: barge board shelving and record boxes, custom cabinetry frames by Conner Millworks and vaulted ceiling details at the new master suite and screened porch.
